Job Description

Role: Mechanic/Sales Person

Hours: Circa 38 to include Saturdays and one late evening.

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Job Description:

Gloucestershire Bike Project is looking for an experienced bike mechanic and sales person to join our team.

The role will be varied and will mainly be split between:

  • Bike mechanics - servicing and repairs of customers bikes to the highest standard, building new bikes, refurbishing bikes for resale, PDIs etc.
  • Covering all aspects of sales including managing our Ebay shop (listing items for sale, arranging timely delivery of items sold etc.)
  • In store sales using our integrated EPOS system and providing excellent customer service

Skills/Experience Required


·         The successful candidate will have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for all things bike

·         Must have at least 2 years’ experience of working in a bike shop

·         Self-motivated and able to work to own initiative as well as working well within a team

·         Your role will often be varied, you will need to be adaptable and flexible

·         As the role is customer facing; alongside providing excellent customer service, you will be expected to show a good all-round knowledge of bikes and accessories in order to help the customer get the right bike for them.

·         You will be tidy and organised and show a good commercial awareness and as such work to timescales.

·         Driving licence is essential

·         An interest in vintage and retro bikes and parts would be an advantage
