Job Description

Manager of a small but busy town centre store in Lewes.

Lewes is a busy, affluent town in the centre of the South Downs and attracts mountain bikers, road cyclists and families. Our store caters to everyone and we offer Trek, Orbea, Cube and other brands.

There are 4 Cycleshack stores across Sussex, all Trek stockists and some stocking other brands like Specialized. You'd be part of the overall team and although mainly based in one store, we do sub in and out sometimes which helps us all work as a team.

You'd be in charge of the Lewes store and start with a clean slate as we've had some shop moves recently.

Skills/Experience Required

Experience as a cycle mechanic in a busy retail environment is an essential requirement of this job. Ideally Cytech 2 but skills and experience, the ability to work in a team and being comfortable with customers are crucial.

All the typical aspects of a cycle mechanic's job will be required although where there are skill gaps we will provide training. We expect you would have a good level of technical knowledge, including electric bikes; and be conversant with computer skills and EPOS systems (Ascend ideally).

Starting salary will be by mutual agreement depending on perceived skills and abilities but the minimum on offer is £29,000. We think you will enjoy working for us, nice town, nice people!
