Job Description

We are recruiting a part time sales advisor (24 hours per week) to work in our busy Stirling store.

There is scope for additional hours during staff holidays, busy periods and as the business grows, so the flexibility to work additional hours if required would be an advantage.

Working alongside and with the support of our experienced full time sales advisor, you will find the role to be varied and engaging. You will enjoy delivering excellent service to our customers, maintaining high retail standards in store, identifying opportunities, and working hard to deliver the business targets.

We are a small organisation and we encourage input and innovation from all the team. You will be involved in enhancing our social media presence, suggesting and implementing promotions and arranging retail displays as appropriate.

We currently stock bikes from Saracen, Genesis, Ridgeback, Orbea and Merida. We also stock a wide range of clothing, parts and accessories from leading brands. Our customers range from newcomers to cycling through to competitive athletes.

In the first instance please contact Craig@stirlingcycles.co.uk attaching your C.V and explaining why you want to join our team. We look forward to hearing from you.

Skills/Experience Required

  • Previous experience of working in a bike shop is essential in particular selecting and advising on the correct style and size of bike for a customer having assessed their needs.
  • A track record of sales success in cycle retail is important.
  • Mechanical experience/aptitude an advantage.
  • Ability to communicate to a high standard with customers and staff both verbally and in writing is essential.
  • Knowledge of Word and Excel an advantage.
  • Ideally you will currently be an active and enthusiastic cyclist.
