The judges for the BikeBiz Awards 2025, in association with Bikedesk, have been officially announced, with ACT Director Jonathan Harrison among the leading voices from all corners of the cycling industry on the panel.
The panel represents a broad cross-section of the cycling world, ranging from retail and distribution to media, advocacy and product innovation.
This year’s BikeBiz Awards, which recognise the people, businesses and initiatives that drive excellence across the UK cycling industry, are set to take place in Birmingham on Thursday 16th October, coinciding with the Cycle Show and Cycle Summit.
Entries and nominations are open from Wednesday 4th June and run until midnight on Thursday 4th July, with finalists announced shortly after. Depending on the category, winners will be decided either through a wider industry vote open to the cycling trade or by the judging panel, with the panel selecting their winners via an online voting process, offering a reasoned choice while abstaining from any categories where a conflict of interest exists.
Voting opens on Friday 18th July and closes on Friday 29th August, with results then collated by the BikeBiz editorial team.
High-profile names joining Mr Harrison on the judging panel include Emily Cherry, CEO of the Bikeability Trust; Wayne Brown, CEO of SHIFT Active Media; Aneela McKenna, Founder of Mòr Diversity; Mark Sutton, Editor of Cycling Electric; and Hannah Dobson, Managing Editor at Singletrack World.

Jonathan Harrison said: “I’m proud to be judging alongside such great figures from across our industry, all of whom bring a wealth of experience, insight and passion for cycling; it’s fantastic to be part of a process that recognises the hard work, innovation and dedication that make our sector thrive.
“I’m excited to see the excellent nominations that come through this year, from inspiring individuals to standout businesses, and I look forward to what promises to be a great evening of celebration, connection and appreciation for the very best in cycling.”
BikeBiz added: “With 15 years’ experience in the sector, Jonathan is committed to supporting the industry and championing the vital role of independent cycle retailers. His central industry role enables him to assess entries fairly, insightfully, and with a clear understanding of what truly drives excellence in the cycling industry.
Submissions can be made via an online form, with members of the trade able to nominate themselves or others in any relevant category. To enter or nominate, visit https://bikebizawards.com/enter/ and complete the nomination form by 4th July.
