For a modern course with a truly pragmatic outcome, I can say with most confidence that the quality of the course (although we were only being assessed) and the pedagogy which underpins their teaching is exceedingly high. "During the course you were talked through every aspect of the training, showing you as a group each part of the bike, how to safely remove the part using the correct tools and how to service it.
Each and every question anyone had was thrown open to teach everything to everyone, it was not just answered to the person asking. This was great as if you were not too sure yourself you found out how to solve the fault.
As for the trainers well what can I say, they are brilliant at showing you how to do something and the way they explain the process of how to is pure class, they make it light hearted but never miss a point, it makes taking it all in very easy and if you’re not too sure they will come to your station and go through it again. Great guys, with a great attitude to what they are doing.
I could go on and on but to say that the Cytech course is just to teach you cycle mechanics is far from correct, it teaches you a new skill taught by professionals so you can go and start a business like I did, I now run Injured Cycle Repairs in Strathclyde.
I would tell anyone who is thinking of doing this, go Cytech and learn from the best!"

"If bikes are your passion and you are looking for more then I would recommend that you look
at pjcsonline.co.uk for your Cytech training. Pete and Sam have many, many years of experience between them and are only too willing to share their
knowledge with you during the course. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable 2 and a half weeks of hands on training for me."

"Cytech qualifications are a must for the bike business. Customers know that if a bike comes
to our store for servicing they will get the same treatment as when they walk into the service reception of a motor dealer. Sometimes it can be
better."

"All our technical, sales, marketing and even warehouse staff are Cytech trained. We believe
for many of them it is an essential part of the work they do and enables them to converse confidently with our customers. I always recommend
retailers invest in Cytech for the same reasons whilst also adding credibility to their business from the customer perspective."

"Despite having over 25 years of experience in the bike trade, both on the shop floor and in
the workshop, the Cytech technical two course provided our shop manager with a comprehensive underpinning of knowledge to his existing experience.
Whilst further installing confidence in how our workshop could and should operate.
Throughout all of the various interactions we have had with Cytech and ATG Training, from
administrative processes to training and assessments, they have proved themselves to be a company and a team of people we can and do trust. I would
further go to say that they have had a significant influence in the success of Bay Cycles. Consequently, I would have no hesitation in recommending
ATG Training and their delivery of Cytech training and apprenticeships to others."

"Why use a qualified mechanic?"
"... I did my Cytech level 1 and 2 over the following year. This was very well taught and accredited. I had regular assessments at my workplace and 2 weeks at the Cytech training centre. I learnt so much in that year and picked up a lot of little tips and tricks which I still use today. I am still in contact with Jules my original assessor from 15 years ago and meeting him made me realise that I could be a great mechanic..."

"On doing my research I very quickly realised that the Cytech training was the industry
recognized standard for cycle maintenance training, so as part of my business plan I booked onto the course. I found the training to be of an
excellent standard and the instructors were highly experienced having worked in the industry for years, the training environment was superb with
access to all the tools and space required to run a bicycle workshop, the assessment was thorough with great support provided by the instructors.
The Cytech training gave me the right tools to open my bicycle shop which I have now been running successfully. The cycle industry requires this
level of training and I would highly recommend this training to people looking to set up a cycle shop or to become qualified cycle
technicians."

"I want to thank you guys for giving me a professional foundation in cycle mechanics, and
especially the Cytech instructors who gave me really good advice on seeking out other training after the Technical three course. Following
completion of Cytech training I went on to open a mountain bike suspension service center in the US called Trail Labs – we’re the only
suspension service center in the Midwest (an area 8 times bigger than the UK), and one of a few in the entire US that are recognized to service
most of the mountain bike brands currently on the market. Had I not participated in the Cytech program, this would all still be a dream!"

Perhaps it's because it's a skill that I couldn't read and study my way out of, or perhaps it's because there was always a quiet self-doubting whisper that had finally been silenced. "After being involved with bikes for the last 50 years and now running my own bike hire
business, I thought the time was right to get some official status as a bike mechanic.
The course exceeded my expectations and I was awash with new correct information in regard to bike building and maintenance. With the range of bikes
I have titanium, steel, aluminium and carbon frames, with an equally large array of seat posts, forks and headsets, correct maintenance is
essential. I returned home to the Lake District and immediately ordered a range of different lubricants for the different frame materials, and some
additional bike tools including a wheel truing device. Yes I can now true my fleet’s own wheels!
This course is an absolute must for everyone who wants to maintain bikes correctly."

"Absolutely brilliant course. Jim was fantastic and helped every individual, he gave really good demonstrations and feedback. He gave specific information to members in the group depending on what we wanted our outcomes of the course to be." - Nichola Jackson, October 2017
"The trainer was professional, very patient, and provided a comfortable learning experience for the group. The trainer also showed compassion and interest to individuals’ different needs, whilst maintaining the pace of the course and giving all of the group equal attention. I would recommend this course to everyone that owns a bike." - Micheala Ashmore, August 2017
"It was exactly as I anticipated and will put my gained knowledge to good use. David conducted the course in a very professional manner as well as being friendly and informative. The demonstration and explanation followed by the hands on experience was an ideal format." - Paul Barnett, July 2017
PJCS, UK
"Pete was clearly very experienced & knowledgeable but he didn’t make you feel like a complete novice. A very useful couple of days, which will be very beneficial as is and also provides a good base to build on for the future. It has given me the confidence to approach jobs on my bike that I ordinarily would leave to my local bike shop, saving both time & money but above all giving me a feeling of great satisfaction." - Steve Smith, October 2017
"Pete has a lifetime's experience and knowledge of all aspects of cycling and bikes which he generously shares so that I was involved and fascinated all the time. He handled a very wide range of questions with ease! Very good use of two days on an excellent course led by a really knowledgeable trainer. I feel much more skilled and better informed. I also have a more systematic approach to maintaining my bikes." - Andrew Tinson, October 2017
"The trainer had excellent knowledge, gained an empathy with all trainees and was patient and encouraging throughout the week. There was a comprehensive range of tools which were well maintained and the trainer ensured good tool protocol so that tools were in the right place for the next user. I would certainly recommend the course to others, mainly due to the enthusiasm and professionalism of the trainer." - Michael Burgess, September 2017
Torq Zone Academy, South Africa
"It is an excellent course, especially for a beginner and non-technical person like myself. I have learned a great deal and will use this newfound knowledge to great effect. The trainer is very good in what he does, and has the patience to explain every detail in such a manner that it is clearly understood. I will most certainly in the future make use of this institution for training purposes." - Jan Steenkamp, May 2018
"It opened my eyes and now I know something about bikes - I will look at coming back for a professional course." - Oscar Ndlovu, February 2017

I've never been so excited about bike mechanics before!" - Jessica Strange, October 2016

"An excellent course where the level of information and practical training was spot on. The trainer was very knowledgeable, informative, engaging, witty and serious." - Terry Voice, December 2017
"I have been on numerous home mechanics courses, which were very useful. This 3 day professional course however, was another level. The instructor seems to know so much about bikes and the industry, it was both impressive and a pleasure to be in the room as someone with so much knowledge about a passion we both share. It makes me realise how little I know, although following the course I have much more confidence and know a lot more than when I started." - Edward Shelter, May 2017
Torq Zone Academy, South Africa
"Great practicals, hands on ensures that the academic is put to practice. The trainer was knowledgeable with good practical tips and nice material which certainly will be used as reference in future. Will be sending future employees through the training." - John Unterhorst, March 2018
"This course is a perfect introduction on how to be a good technician, beginner or experienced. Graeme is excellent! He explained in detail, step for step and no rush. One of the best trainers out there. Well done Graeme and Cytech!" - Willem Lombard, February 2018
"This was a very worthwhile few days and I know that once I have completed the next two courses I will be better equipped to do what I am now doing more efficiently. The course content was very thorough and presented in such a way that a "beginner" would be able to grasp an understanding of how to go about doing the material that we were taught. Graeme is an excellent presenter and I found that there were no times when I was bored. He knows his subject very well and I enjoyed learning a few new methods as well as some stuff that I did not know about (looking forward to Technical two)." - Barry Katz, January 2018

"Great course. Would definitely recommend. In addition David is great trainer with great bike/bike industry knowledge. Had a really good time. Thank you." - Martin Obona, October 2017
"The course met my requirements. As someone who has been working in the cycle maintenance industry part time for 6 years I was concerned initially that I wouldn't get much from the course, this was not the case. The trainer kept the sessions interesting with lots of insight to the industry, clearly they brought good experience to the course. I came away with more confidence in my own abilities and a number of techniques which will improve how I work in my workshop. The wheel building module really helped to demystify the process and this is something that I'm adding to my business." - Jonathan Mosley, October 2017
"Exceeded expectations. Jim and Mike were brilliant and I would travel up from Surrey to train in their workshop anytime!" - Bruce Karsten, October 2017
PJCS, UK
"Loved the content, pace and delivery of the course. The trainer was very knowledgeable with great presentation skills, moving the course on with witty and insightful dialogue. I'd just like to say I thoroughly enjoyed all of my Cytech training and would enthusiastically recommend these courses to anyone with an interest in the maintenance/technical side of cycling... 'you will learn something'" - Terry Voice, December 2017
"Sam was an excellent tutor who was so approachable and understanding when often we struggled with some technical aspect or practical skill. He willingly shared his knowledge and experience and gave all students confidence in completing all aspects of the course." - Mark Barter, October 2017
"Excellent environment and fully equipped. I am a seasoned mechanic and have been working in the trade for over seven years however I still took away many tips and a lot of motivation on how to improve things going forward in my own business." - Jonathan Ridout, July 2017
Torq Zone Academy, South Africa
"I have been taught to do most of that which I learned on the course, but Graeme taught me why I do those things. But there are finer points that were taught to me. Graeme imparts his knowledge in an exceptionally good manner (his patience with one of the participants yesterday was exemplary, and that requires someone who has a passion for teaching people). I thoroughly enjoyed Technical two, and look forward to Technical three. Can highly recommend bike shops mechanics with years of experience to attend the course." - Barry Katz, February 2018
"Graeme is a patient, knowledgeable and a thorough trainer. He illustrates a passion for cycling which is quite contagious. The course is well balanced, has a thorough technical base and covers all aspects meticulously." - Johan Malherbe, November 2017
