About Us

Wicked Bikes is a fast-growing bicycle workshop and retail space based in Hackney Wick, within the vibrant Hackney Bridge canalside development.

We operate across two units and are proud to be one of the busiest and most established bike shops in the local area. With increasing demand and a rapidly expanding neighbourhood, we are looking to strengthen our team with an experienced and reliable mechanic.

We are a small, tight-knit team that values efficiency, quality workmanship, and a positive working environment.

The Role

We are looking for a skilled and confident bicycle mechanic who can work independently in a fast-paced environment.

This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable handling a high volume of repairs and can maintain a high standard of work under pressure.

You will mainly focus on:

  • Quick repairs and walk-in jobs

  • Supporting workshop workflow

  • Preparing refurbished bikes for resale

  • Assisting during busy periods, especially weekends

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in bicycle repairs

  • Strong technical ability across a wide range of bikes

  • Ability to work independently without supervision

  • Comfortable working in a busy, customer-facing environment

  • Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude

  • Cytech qualification is a plus, but not essential

Skills/Experience Required

Important

This is a fast-paced shop, and we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running.

You will be working alongside a workshop manager who handles all customer interaction, bookings, and payments — allowing you to focus primarily on repairs and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out repairs and servicing to a high standard

  • Handle quick turnaround jobs efficiently

  • Support the preparation of second-hand bikes for sale

  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace

  • Assist the team during peak times

What We Offer

  • Flexible part-time hours

  • Competitive pay (depending on experience)

  • Staff discounts

  • Friendly and supportive team environment

  • Opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding business

If you’re an experienced mechanic looking for a solid, busy workshop where your skills will be fully utilised, we’d love to hear from you.
